Do you think Christian Hip-Hop can overcome Secular Rap?

Do you think that today's Christian Rappers can ever overtake artists like Lil' Wayne, T.I. or Kanye West in popularity?

If you think they can, why do you think so?
If you think they can't, why not?

Fo sure we will! evil will vanish and be unheard of, but the word of God will live forever! We'll be doing this hear during the millinium reign and eternity.
We just have to separate ourselves more lyrically and musically, these days everything you hear in gospel rap or HHH sounds like the worlds music or someone remixing an old school worldly song. But eventually when we mature of course we will. Lets step up our God given talents and stop mocking the worlds sounds.
Why would anybody of the world want to change if were mocking them? Its not nurturing our people. They need the word of God (Jesus) not what we think of Jesus but what he thinks of them. On the music tip if you give a baby a sugar free sucker is it still good for him? naw mayne! It taste good but still not nurturing, ya dig!

My beloved brother in Christ Jesus are you replying to my response or the question? Sounds like my reply so I will asume it is & ask you these questions, please forgive me if I'm wrong. Do you know about Jesus? Everything about him? Have you perfected his perfect ways? I will take the liberty of answering this question for you. You may know Jesus I pray you do, but as for everything about him or perfected his ways no! So those that are churched, as you put it still need spiritual food, the word of God (JESUS). We all do! Which means we are maturing in Christ Jesus. So when we mature as the church of God we will surpass and overcome the titled topic, secular rap.
The word of God is for eveyone, and only JESUS can save the Lost. But we as the body of Christ can take responsibility for our actions of copying the music sounds of the world in all genre's of music. Or saying such things like if you like dr.dre you will love my music. Because it sounds like dr. dre, or you sound like eminem or your trying to because you think is tight. We need to stop or we will as the title refers to will never overcome secular rap.

i believe any gospel rap artist, can overtake secular artists. First of all, secular hip hop is getting old and society is "screamin" to hear something new.... something different. I hear peole say all of the time "the music now-a-day sounds the same". As gospel artists, we were called to be a "peculiar people"... in other words, we were called to be different. But the only way to take this game, is to be different, by speaking the Word....and speaking the Word ONLY. It's not about the music.... music is music. It's all about what you saying on that beat. As far as being a lyricist, the beats we choose, doesn't make a difference. The beat only grabs the attention of the listener... but the words we speak, makes a difference. The book of James speaks about the tongue, and the tongue holds the power of life and death. Secular artists speak death, so they'll eventually die out..... But we as gospel artists, speak the Word, which is life, so it has no choice but to live on...............

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This world is only temporary and all we can do as artist is to spread the word of God through music and allow God to put it in peoples hearts. It reminds me in the old testament. When they said God we are ready to fight and God says you have too many people. They were ready again with less people and God says you have too many. In the end there was only like 300 and God used a group of people that should have never have won, to show His glory to the world.
God is in control

You know I was thinking of somethin the other day. Ok so if anyone here knows of Bill O'Riley you know just how much he hates rap and hip hop and what not. Well I got to thinking and I thought: If I could send a video of me freestylin to O'Riley and showing him that not all raps bad and if he showed it on his show...maybe it might attract some positive response. I don't know if I will go through with it but i thought it sounded like a good idea. Anyways yes I defanatly think that HHH will overtake mainstream. Soon people will start looking for a rap that they can find themselves in. Right now mainstream hip hop is about money, drugs, rides, women/guys (for my lady rappers out there), fancy homes, crews, and what not. Oh and btw, even though we are trying to overtake the mainstream rap, we can't forget to pray for them and understand that even though they don't know God I'm sure they've gone through the pain that they have. I'm sure thats a reason we do Hip Hop but still its a good reminder. As I was sayin soon mainstream will start to fade. What I am about to say next is just a simple reminder, im not sayin anyone in HHH is weak and not willing to do it but just keep in mind that if we hit the mainstream we will be presecuted and tried more than ever. I just want to make sure we remember this. But with God as our rear guard we as the sons and daughters of Christ will overcome anything that God tests us with. Just make sure you stay faithful k?

Do i think we can is the question huh? Well umm didnt our Christ and Lord Jesus heal the sick, raise the dead, rise from the grave, spreaded his anf our Father's gospel regardless of the haters and humiliation and still rose on top. Correct yeah he did that and more fam. The bible says we shall do greater works than He did. So for the secular side get ready for a Holy takeova homie. We on the winning team and through Christ strengthens me, ha haaaah we headed to the top cuz we can do all things through him. TRUST!!!!!!
