Peace and blessings, I truly believe that there is no comparison between the two in reference to Christian Hip Hop overcoming secular rap because truthfully, secular rap contains various different topics (positive or negative) they rap about while Christian Hip Hop has one centralized focus which is the glorifying and exhalting Jesus Christ. (which also entails spreading the gospel). Thats my take on it and as we know as the body of Christ... the Word of God will never come back void and will be fullfilled because it is the Will of God for it to do so. Be Blessed

i think both will always be around..but the Christian equation is gainin momentum..and tightness.

I know we can! First of all, most of us started out as secular artists anyways, so it's not like we don't have the skills. Second, now we have the blood of Jesus covering our music, and no demonic influence has anything on the blood of Jesus. And Last, Christioan Hip-Hop is starting out like secular Hip-Hop, small, but only to become the biggest genre of music in the world. I not only think we can overcome Secular Rap, but I KNOW WE WILL! For Romans 8:32 says "Ye in ALL things we are MORE than conqueror through HIM that loves us."

I have hope that we'll overtake secular rap music, but it's going to be a process. That process is going to start with the church. I think to get to the top of the christian charts should be our focus. Too many kids in the church listen to secular rap and hip hop. We need to clean house before we take to the streets, know what I mean? I don't think the world is ever gonna love us. Keep rappin', and I'ma do the same.
