“P-Duble's” new album “Stank: Block Boi,” hits streets on December 1st, 2009.

The first single off the album, “Stronger,” is now circulating and the track can be heard on P-Duble's MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/pdublestank) and on the Stank Records website. A free download is only available at: http://www.reverbnation.com/pdublestank. This single features Columbus, Ohio native, daYungSnapper, as well as Cleveland, Ohio's own, Layzie Bone.

So many artists have spent so much time in the past few months working like madmen and touring for their own albums that before they knew it, the new P-Duble album was on the horizon!

Ohio certainly has its share of hip-hop history; from “The Dayton Boys” to the “Bone Thugs Family” to “Bow-Wow,” etc.... It's really exciting to see what direction P-Duble has gone in. Based on what many heard so far (leaks and samplers), there is a good-buzz that this album is going to be a natural progression forward. He has brought back that grimier sound, much like the natural and pure Midwest hip-hop flavor, and has moved away from the over-produced perfect rap formula that he doesn't relate to. Paul Mohr, of Midwest Music Zine, describes the new single as “something that hasn't been heard since Bone Thugs were in charge of the game,” and that is coming from a secular and non-urban specific music zine, “very unexpected from a christian artist, in a good way.” - Paul Mohr; MMZ

The new single maintains with the grimy street theme “The basic concept of the single is about the punches life throws at you and how you can pick-up your cross daily and keep moving forward through the power of Jesus Christ. But, done so without compromising the gritty, street-oriented edge we feel called to reach out to with Christ's message. It's real and that's what was one of the most important elements when we were recording it!” says P-Duble.

Sounds like it’s not a far departure from the title of the album, “Stank: Block Boi.”

Social Networking Site One of the Newest Ones To Keep In Touch Through the Internet.

[ClickPress, Friday July 3 2009] Stank Records announces the release of “tha'Midwest” (http://thamidwest.ning.com), a fun and useful social networking service that is optimized for both web and mobile phone interaction.

The most common woes from online social networking services are caused by the lull between the times that your contacts are online. By practice, they would have to go online, check their email notifications for new alerts, and then respond. tha'Midwest reduces this wait time by allowing your social network to be up to date anywhere where there is a US mobile carrier signal that supports AdvaMobile; the mobile structure integrated into tha'Midwest.

tha'Midwest takes social networking to the next level by introducing a gateway to all your friends with the power of text messaging. Members are able to create user profiles, upload pictures, create and join interest groups, send messages to old friends and make new ones – not just on the computer, but also through their mobile phones. A member only needs a phone capable of sending and receiving text messages to avail of the service.

Because tha'Midwest is available through the web and optimized for viewing on mobile phones, subscribers of supported US carriers can register and make use of all the online services either through their web browsers or through a simplified text messaging version on their mobile phones. In addition, members can opt to receive message alerts via text message when a new event has taken place such as group announcements, group replies and private messages.

The ability to create public and private interest groups adds a whole new dimension to organizing events and keeping friends and family updated on the latest developments:

“This is the next step in wireless community building,” says Vince T. Yamat, webmaster of tha'Midwest. “The very fact that you can access your group of friends from anywhere with a cell signal opens up creative possibilities whether it be to find help-on-the-go or indulging in casual banter. Let’s say you are in dire need of advice as to what computer to buy. All you need to do is send a message to your entire group, which is then posted on the online forum. All group members who have mobile phone access can then reply with their buying advice, and it’s instantaneous. Imagine the possibilities!”

Creating user groups is the task of a group moderator who can initiate forum topics which are open to participation by anyone in the group, whether it is about current events, hobbies, music reviews or opinions. This makes the service appealing for a feedback tool, an organization support group and after-hours chill time. “This is where tha'Midwest works its magic,” says Yamat. “Interest groups tend to link and build up on a viral scale. Since the service can be delivered straight to your phone, it makes the level of interactivity more appealing because it can’t get any more personal than that.”

Apart from being easy to use, tha'Midwest is also safe. Members activities are constantly monitored and even the slightest activity that goes against the Christian principles the site was created on is cause for up to a permanent ban from the site. Members also have the option to turn off notifications and block or unblock messages from being sent to their account.
P-Duble Comment by P-Duble on June 18, 2009 at 3:42pm

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- P-Duble, a Christian Rap artist originally from Indianapolis, officially announced the street date of his eagerly awaited new album; his first original full-length studio album in almost 15 years. STANK: Block Boi (Stank/Pike Street/Stay Beat) will be released on Dec. 1, 2009. The first single from the album will see a release on September 15, 2009.
Anticipation for STANK: Block Boi has been building since the winter, when P-Duble dropped a pair of singles, "i Ball," and “Goin' Crazy (i wanna' die),” both on physical cd and on the internet. 50,000 copies of the release "i Ball" from P-Duble and Ty Wills were given away all across the Midwest, South and East-Coast for free and helped bring that anticipation to a head. The track not only created a buzz, but also a bit of controversy, as it's edgier approach caught many off-guard. "i Ball" will be included as an album track on STANK: Block Boi.

With the announcement of the release date for STANK: Block Boi also comes confirmation of something that had been rumored in recent months: P-Duble will still be behind he microphone and is not stepping away from the game, yet. "A lot of people were expecting the next/final project to drop last year," said P-Duble. "I was one of them. Then I was tested by a set of life-altering trials and all of that became an after-thought. Six months later I went back in the studio for a few days, and that turned into six months. I was on such a roll; I wound up with a ton of new music and was given a new, refreshed spirit and direction. Putting out STANK: Block Boi will let everyone get all of the best stuff and will afford the opportunity to take the message bestowed upon me to the streets."

P-Duble has moved more than 1,000,000 different units, whether mixtapes, singles, EPs or LPs since he first entered the arena in 1992. His previous studio album, My Album About Me, a six-track EP dropped in 2007, reached #1 and dominated many of the charts late that year. There was a mixtape before that and a short-lived one after that, but nothing else of any substance since his 1999 release Birth Uv A G. Even though he has been mostly quiet for the last decade, he was very active between 1992 and 1999, with more than ten different projects reaching all over the United States and around the globe.
