THE TASK: The Take A Stand Kampaign

-333 million young adults worldwide have had or currently have an STD.
-33 million people worldwide have AIDS, and since 1981, 25 million people have died from it.
-Over 100,000 people worldwide were murdered by firearms in 2002.
-Every year 1.8 million people die because of Alcohol worldwide.
-45% of fatal car accidents are caused by drunk driving.
-Illicit drugs, abused prescription drugs and medications killed a combined 56,600 people in 2007 in the U.S. alone.
-Alcohol kills 6.5 times as many youth as every illegal drug combined.
-Homicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-24 in the U.S.
_______________________________________________________________________________

While our youth are dying off in droves, rappers like Eminem, Jay-Z, 50-Cent, Lil Wayne, T.I., Drake and Lil' Kim fill our youth's heads with ideas that violence is the answer to solving problems. Even murder. Hustling and selling drugs are a viable way to get out of the hood. Women are objects to be lusted after, and even the female rappers reduce themselves to "B***** and Hoes" by their own words.

These are the men and women who the youth emulate. These rappers and those like them influence the youth to get drunk, get high, have premarital sex and be violent. While kids hang their posters on the wall, memorize their songs word for word, and try hard to be like the people they see on T.V., their role models are speaking words that lead them to prison or the grave. What will YOU do about it?

After the death of Christ the disciples were well-nigh overcome by discouragement. Their Master had
been rejected, condemned, and crucified. The priests and rulers had declared scornfully, "He saved
others; Himself He cannot save. If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross,
and we will believe Him." Matthew 27:42. The sun of the disciples' hope had set, and night settled
down upon their hearts. Often they repeated the words, "We trusted that it had been He which should
have redeemed Israel." Luke 24:21. Lonely and sick at heart, they remembered His words, "If they do
these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?" Luke 23:31.

I seen the influence and the tragedies of Hip Hop close up, and recently have wrote 10 cover songs, taking their songs and putting a GODLY message to them, in hope that when the youth hear their song, they will remember mine. GREAT idea, hope to be part of this!

its like the old CPu term...GIGO-garbage in garbage out- thats why I'm continuing to "take a stand" when we listen to something that is uplifting the spirit- when we speak will speak with uplifting words, when we listen to degrating, explicit lyrics- thats the crap that ends up coming out of our mouths...I monitor EVERYTHING my kids listen too- we have to as parents these days cuz its too much out there that can be damaging to our youth!

Yeah I'll take a stand.secular rap has gotten too raunchy.Remember rap music like in the days of Run-DMC and Kool-Mo Dee or The Beasty Boys.Even though that type of music is not Christian rap,it can be an example of clean secular rap,Old School. It's okay to agree or not agree I am just saying secular rap music today has gotten way out of hand and the more the world stands it wil get worse and worse.Another comment:To all of the secular rap and secular hiphop :TAKE THE SEXUALLY REVEALING GIRLS OUT OF YALL VIDEOS.IT'S DEGRADING.That's my input.

This is just what we need to get their attention, actions speak louder than words, but with them both we can make a difference. I thank the LORD for you bro. A.G.T.G.
